We work with eleven families across Kutch and Bhuj. Some weave, some print, one dyes. None of them work only for us, which we think is the healthier arrangement.

March in Kutch
March is when the block printers work outside, because the paste dries at the speed they want and the light is even from ten until four. We go up twice a year; this is the useful trip.
Old shapes, now
A kurta is a good shape because it has had centuries of correction. We change the cloth and the length and leave the rest of it alone.
